 Customer Protection

One of Indepal’s major objectives is to have happy customers. Happy with our products, happy with our service and, if there’s a fault with your product, happy with the way we respond to your concerns.

Therefore, Indepal supports and abides by the Australian Consumer Law, which sets out your rights as a consumer including your rights to a repair, replacement or refund as well as compensation for damages and loss.

Subject to the Non-Excludable Guarantees, Indepal Pty Ltd. shall not be liable for incidental, consequential, indirect, special or punitive damages or liabilities of any kind arising out of or in connection with the sale or use of our products. Subject to the Non-Excludable Guarantees, Indepal’s entire liability shall be limited to replacement or repair or refund of the purchase price paid, at Indepal’s sole option where permissible by law.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

This warranty is void if the purchased product has been damaged by accident, negligence, unauthorised repair, or other factors not due to defects in materials or workmanship.

Indepal Warranty

Our limited warranty covers defects in material or workmanship for 2 years from the date of purchase. A valid sales receipt or other proof must be included to show your product was purchased within the warranty period.

If your product contains a defect due to poor workmanship, we will repair the product where possible, replace your product with the same style or an equivalent style of equal value based on the purchase price, or offer a refund.  In lieu of a refund you may opt for a credit valued at 110% of your purchase.

This warranty is void if the leather product has been damaged by accident, negligence, unauthorised repair, or other factors not due to defects in materials or workmanship, or if a valid receipt is not included.

Along with your leather product, please include the following:

  • Details of your name and return address, a phone number and email address. Also, detail the problem you are having with your product.

Reminders when sending your leather product to us for service:

  • We encourage you to send your package insured or through a traceable shipper. Indepal Pty Ltd. is not responsible for packages lost or stolen in transit to us.
  • Your leather product will be inspected and replaced within 3 to 5 weeks of the date that we receive your package if all the conditions of this warranty are met.

Leather Care & Cleaning Instructions

Indepal products are designed and handcrafted from the finest materials available. To maintain the appearance of your Indepal products we recommend the following:

  • Clean the leather with a quality and appropriate leather care lotion.
  • As with any cleaning product it is important that instructions are followed carefully.
  • Indepal bags should be kept free of moisture.

Only leather products sold through Indepal.com.au are subject to the terms of the warranty.
